Mark Loquan: "A listening pleasure to celebrate my
10 consecutive years of writing for Panorama."

I have been thinking of ways to celebrate 10 consecutive years of writing for pan.
First I said I was going to have a small launch in Trinidad, invite a few people, give
out some CDs with some music, but that would be too limited, particularly that my music is not necessarily confined to Trinidad.

Of course another way is to consult with people who can provide access to my music. Link with Pan-Jumbie, an up to date, and most informative site, is a great asset.

We could also provide opportunities, such as people interested in doing arrangements of any of the songs, can get the lead sheets from me, and even place their arrangements of such songs for sale, with a win-win-win between arranger, distributor, composer (e.g. Sune Borregaard arranging Colours Again and distributing via MauMau Music), or you could simply choose to listen and do nothing.

Perhaps we can also use the opportunity to see where my music has been played over the world, which I have been trying to compile.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the artistes, co-composers, writers, scorers/transcribers, arrangers, bands, pannists, teachers, schools, universities, orchestras, studio producers and musicians, COTT, websites, communities, pan organizations, media, family, friends and everyone who has been part of this wonderful journey, for your support. There would be far too many names to mention.

You are invited to email comments, inputs, reviews, photos, etc.
Feedbacks will be used as part of a process of ongoing improvement to this site.

Enjoy and visit as often as you like!
