Good Times by Denyse Plummer is the tune of choice of Antillean
Al Stars for Tuesday's preliminary of the 2006 Panorama competition.

Pan Elders, one of the three steelbands on Carib Street, San Fernando, competing in the small band category of this year’s Panorama, will be on show at the 2006 panyard judging on Tuesday. The band’s tune of choice is Tempo (remix), sung by Calypso Rose and Shurwayne Winchester. Arranger is Richard Gittens.

Preliminary judging for the 2006 national Panorama begins tomorrow evening and bands of Pan Trinbago’s South/Central region have been taking night to make day in preparation.

This year, bands of the region are making a concerted effort to capture the top prize in the conventional orchestra category.

The last time a band from south Trinidad won was in 1975 when Hatters, now sponsored by Maritime Life, copped the title, playing Steve Achaiba’s arrangement of Lord Kitchener’s Tribute to Spree.

Judging starts at 7 pm at the panyard.

large band category at the 2006 panyard preliminaries judging of the
